About the artwork:  This work measured almost 8 x 14 feet and was created using acrylic, oil stick, and spray paint on canvas. The image features a boy playing with a dog in a johnnypump (a slang term commonly used in the Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods of New York referring to a fire hydrant that was opened in the summertime for kids to play in the water).  The vibrant colors and the confusion reflect the diversity and commotion that makes New York the great city that it is.
