About the artwork: In 1963 Robert Indiana was one of six artists commissioned to imagine a design for coins of the US dollar. His painting New Glory Penny represents his version of the penny ($0.01) in his signature Pop art style using bright graphics inspired by hand-painted signs and advertisements.
